Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Television advertising directed toward young children (aged 2 to 5) should not be allowed. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
Among television advertising time, few of them are targeting to young children, aged 2 to 5, considering they are not the majority of consumers for most profitable products. The reason is that, on one hand, they do not have the economic resources to purchase a favorable thing. On the other hand, they are too young to go outside shopping or online shopping by themselves, without parenting. Therefore, it is necessary to forbid the TV advertising directed toward young children, speaking of which would do any harmless to them even after they watched the commercial advertising through television.
However, dissenters claimed that the purpose of advertising tend to make more profit, but it would only undermine the profit to target on young children, who actually are lock of consuming ability. A company spends money on broadcasting advertising on TV while no truly customers are watching it. What’s more, as young children are not permitted to watch TV very often, which would damage their vision in a long term consideration, a charming advertising might arise their interests in watching TV.
In my opinion, advertising should be allowed, since it is a commercial way to earn more profit for both products’ companies and TV station. Meanwhile, parents should take more care of their children in case of any potential damage happened.

The article and the lecture were debating on some accuracy issues regarding to the Chevalier de Seingalt’s memoir.
Firstly, the article states that Chevalier was not as wealthy as he writes in the memoir when he lived in Switzerland, because he borrowed money from Swiss merchant. However, the lecture illustrates that due to Chevalier spent a great deal of his money on parties and gambling, the loan money was needed especially when he was out of cash.
Secondly, the passage says that the conversation between Chevalier and Voltaire, a famous writer, is impossible to be completely accuracy considering that has happened in many years ago. On the contrary, the lecture demonstrates that Chevalier kept writing down every detail that he remembered on every night after the conversation is happened. Therefore, he could always refer to the notes he recorded to maintain the accuracy of his memoir.

Thirdly, the article believes that Chevalier escaped from the prison by bribing the jailers through his politician friends, instead of by using piece of metal to make a hole in the ceiling and climbing out to the roof. While, lecture said it was not for ‘reading enjoyable’ purpose. In additional, based on a government official document, it is on the record that the ceiling needs to be repaired after Chevalier escaped.
