这个题目俺以前也练习过。当时写得也不一定很好,但还是贴出来供你参考吧。 There are a huge variety of games around the world, which mainly fall into two major categories: sport games and intelligence games. When some people say that playing games is interesting, they usually think of games simply as a way to relax and recreate. In my opinion, however, besides their recreational function, games are capable of teaching us a lot about our life. There are numerous reasons for my view, and I would explore only a few of the most important ones here.
The first plain truth, which would be obvious to most people, is that playing games involves competition to some extent, which is being experienced frequently by almost everybody in the daily life. Thus people can learn how to face competition and take active part in competition by playing games. Whether people are playing sport games, like box game, or intelligence games, like poker game, they most often play to win, although sometimes they play only for fun. To defeat their competitors in games, every player has to try the best, and all the tactics he or she employs and learns can be applied to the competition in the real life. Take playing poker game for example. Players should know about themselves and rivals, establish their scheme and adjust it when necessary, try to cooperate with their teammates as effectively as possible, and so on. All these playing skills are actually applicable in their real life, such as competing for a job post or leading a team in fighting for a project with customers.
Another important reason that can further strengthen my viewpoint is that playing games can teach people how to correctly face success and failure. Without question life is full of success and failure, affecting people's life tremendously, so it make much sense for people to learn the approach to dealing with them. Generally speaking, people should refrain themselves from being over proud when they achieve something and, probably more important, should try to cheer up quickly after failure and become more competitive by learning lessons and accordingly make necessary improvement. From this respect, playing games is an ideal rehearsal. A good example to the point is my recent experience in a tennis match. From this experience, I have obtained a better understanding of how to be persistent, patient and composed in my real life.
From what has been discussed above, we may safely reach the conclusion that playing games can teach us a lot about our life. By playing games, we can learn how to compete with others and how to face success and failure. In this process, we can improve our both intelligence quality and emotion quality. Being aggressive, cooperative, perseverant, composed, all of these virtues that we derive from play games will make our life far more wonderful and meaningful.
