what's the difference of in history and in the history?

In history, ....就是在历史上,something something....

In the history of (时间名词).....就是在哪哪段时间的历史上..(这个有限制)

比如说你要说太阳是历史上太阳系中最大的,就用in history

Yes there is a difference---in the history, is more specific as "in the history of China".   In history becomes more general, and in early history, makes it like generalize to the early times of mankind.
