The natural environment has been damaged   more seriously as the industrialization occurred at 1960's in last century. As the well-being of the natural environment is critical for the survival not only for our human being but for all the other species on earth, we who mainly caused the devastation of the natural environment should take actions to preserve it. However, the responsibility doesn't only ultimately belong to each individual, but also to the government.


The government, the official institution to maintain the development of the whole society, should make more efforts to preservation of natural environment. As we know, natural environment is what we depend on to survive. It provides all kinds of natural resources we need. Without these, we have no power to advance into future. And the government always acts to maintain the development of the society. It is no doubt that it should protect the natural environment -the sources of strength for society to develop-from further damaging.

Besides the efforts from the government, each individual should spare no effort in preserving natural environment too. The large society consists of millions of each individual. Accordingly, the well-being of the society is largely concerned with each individual. Natural environment, the essential factor for the well-being of the society, is also significant for individual. Suppose each individual contribute even a little to the preservation, the total amount of efforts would be infinite. Thus, the natural environment will be changed into a better condition in a shorter time. In turn, the better natural environment would greatly benefit each individual.


What needs our special attention is that sometimes some duties which can't be fulfilled by individuals can only be finished by the government. Thus, governments are more important in preserving the natural environment.  For instance, the big project like that in three gorges in china. It's too burdensome for individuals to carry out for it requires large sum of fund, the elaborate plans from experts and the support of related official bodies. In such case, only government can implement some kind of projection for natural environmental preservation.


The task of natural environment is an eternal issue for our human being as we inevitably do damages to them while we exploit the nature. Both the government and individuals are responsible for the well-being of the natural environment. Thus, the two sides should work hand in hand to perform better in natural environmental preservation.
