同意！as much as 是adv修饰two time,可以不考虑。

但问题是the energy is twice energy +定语  似乎不妙。twice/two times 后面应该接amount/size/height/number等有形容词转化过来的名词。A is two times as high of B=A is two times the height as B= the height of A is two times that of B.

可以看出X times后面是不能跟实义名词--energy [故that指代energy 似乎不妥]，只能跟形容词转化而来的名词。除非实义名词本身含有数量概念--pay/wage/cost：A earn two times the pay of B.

到现在这题我还没搞懂。
