新问题，新思路， 怎么选择。

已经在美国工作，考虑有两个读书计划， 如何priority:

1。找到公司肯办L/H工作和居留，但是地域限制，只能申请读partime emba top20。

2。申请top10, F签证，两年后再考虑其他， 用top20学校做backup申请。（top10信心是有的，但是谋事在人，结果总是有不确定性）

3。找到关系公司肯办H和居留， 不需要工作，但不知道能不能读full time？ 还有就是公司有没有风险（有没有变通办法？）和额外cost. 还是再工作一年，等身份下来再读？

大家觉得如何priority.

读书还不是为了工作,既然搞得定1,何必选2呢?

if you have good local b school

say you are in chicago or you are in SF, NYC,

and those schools have strength in your target area,

say, you are in IT company, and you are in bay area, you can go to berkeley to do part time MBA as long as your future career goal is to do IT management

but if you are in mid nowhere, and want to go to IB, consulting, or west coast etc, better get a top full time mba

it really depends on ur career goal and your background.

better have a clear mind before you apply MBA

why not share your background, so we can talk more about it

by the way, for option 3, you can do that, but it is really risky now

USCIS always wants more documents about your company if it is a small company

and i dont think those big name companies can do that for you

You need to change to F if you were holding H visa, which is not difficult.

If you can find a good job in the US, why MBA? I think this is the key issue you need to think over.

I went to Berkeley intro session about its MBA program, the tuition for part-time MBA program is much higher than that for full-time program(about $30,000 higher). and it takes 3 years. it's pretty hard to balance work and study in a 3 years' period of time.

If you do want to go to school, u can still apply h1 and greencard after graduation. Or marry a white girl, it's also a good choice (kidding...)

seems the last choice is not possible.

then only focus on option 1 and 2.

i am study a mba is for: 1. change industry to consulting and work for several years(say 4-5). 2. get an upgrade and better prepared for my own business.

i been in international logistics company for 6 years, participated in future-mngt program in the company for 2 years, now work in usa. covered in different aspect of the commercial business, and then focus on ecommerce,bpr and business intelligence.

the place i stay has several top20 school around, but no top10 big schools. some of the emba school is within top10.

any suggestion?
