I strongly disagree that attending a live performance is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. People can get much more benefits from the same event on television. This following will give more detailed support to this view.

Firstly, watching the same event on television is more convinient than attending a live performance. A live performance, such as a concert, usually strictly set its specific time, location and reception scale. Only a few audiences can get the tickets to enjoy the concert. As the tickets are so popular that people have to book the tickets long time ago and spend a lot of time in taking a line in getting the tickets. Moreover, most people have more important things to do, for instance, they need to work or attend classes. As the concert schedule conflicts their working or studying schedule, people have to make a sever decision between two options. But if you choose watching the concert on televisions, many things become so easy, no need to book tickets, fight for tickets, suffer transportation jam on the way to the concert, change your schedule for it.

Secondly, you can save a lot of money if you choose watching the live performance on television, compared with atttending a live performance. Usually the live performances are commercial activities and financed by companies. Companies pursue profits for their investment on the live performance, which includes the expenditures on advertising and marketing campaign, producing activities, costly facilities renting and etc. Therefore the entry tickets which are limitedly issued are very expensive to audiences every live performance. But the situation is quite different to watching the live performance on television for many commercials pay for the broadcasting of the live performance as they are inserted in the process of the performance. The live performance is free to all audiences.

Thirdly, it is more secure to watch the live performance on television than attending it. As attending the live performance, people are easy to been hurt by crowded and fevered fans in uncontrolled scene at that time.

All in all, watching live performance is much better than attending it considering convenience, cost and security issues. It is wise to watch live performance on television.
