请问我以下的过程是否有问题

1.首先我看到开头的Although she，我就开始去找第二句的主语，于是很快删掉了A(Barbara Jordan＇s participation )、C(it)、D(not until 1974 did Barbara Jordan)

2.剩下B跟E，BE最大的差异在尾端的which was、which were，一时之间我看不大出句意，但我隐约觉得which指的是hearings，而且E中开头的then also  

later直觉上有点别扭

1. very good sense

2. logically, "hearings" 听证会 can be televised nationwide, 不是 impeachment (弹劾) 。

    impeachment 不能被 televised. 所以排除 E.

哪位大牛可指点一下C的问题在哪里?

感觉用She去剔除C项的形式主语it可能并不十分恰当.

换个方向看就是 it was not until 1974 that Barbara Jordan became a nationally recognized figure, although she had been known as an effective legislator first in the Texas Senate and later in the United States House of Representatives. 主从句的主语并没有什么大问题.难道是c的with独立主格有问题吗?

which refer to the "hearings", so the verb should be plural, but C ended with "which was", rather than "which were"

但是which 不是只能就近指代吗? 逻辑上应该是跳跃指hearings,但按照OG规则, 不能跳跃啊. GWD老是推翻我辛辛苦苦从OG建立起的语法规范.
