答案是B  请问B中的that formed 的that 指代哪个名词啊? A中的forming 用法在这应该没有错把?

2.The nation’s three military academies have  seen a dramatic rise in applications,  one fueled by  a resurgence  of patriotism, increasing  tuition costs at private colleges, and  improved recruiting  by the academies.
请问这个 one 指代什么呢? one fueled by  a resurgence  of patriotism, increasing  tuition costs at private colleges, and  improved recruiting  by the academies. 是不是一个独立主格结构呢?

3. In recent years cattle breeders have increasingly  used crossbreeding , in part that their  steers should acquire certain  characteristics and partly because  crossbreeding is said to provide hybrid vigor.

A.partly because  certain characteristics should be acquired  by their  steers.
B.Partly to acquire certain  characteristics in their  steers.
答案是B 但是好象A比较平行吧?

答案是B 可是不是不赞成使用IN THAT 吗? 不知道A哪里有问题吗? 应该后面的found 可以直接修 composed of tissues 的tissues 把? 为什么B后面还要加一个TISSUES 呢

that指report,如果按照A的讲法,forming是指sketching and keeping journals,逻辑错误.

非也,是一个补足语,one指a dramatic rise in applications

这题争议比较大,如果非要解释的话,一个是从逻辑意思上解释.steers不会成为acquire character 的施动者,注意A是被动. 而应该是breeder才是施动者.第二是对平行结构的理解不要太狭隘,从广义上讲只要二者的功能一致,地位一致都可以.

你是从哪里得知不能用in that的,根据我的经验,in that往往就有可能是正确选项中组成部分,至少不能根据它来排除错误答案.

1）THAT就指紧挨着的JOURNALS。
FORMING短语在这里应改为THAT定语从句，两者的使用区别请见本区的精华贴《修饰语的用法》
2）ONE+。。。。，在这里是同位结构。
3）太难了，也是个逻辑搭配问题。
4）同位结构，仔细读会发现后面的逻辑搭配不对。
