Nowadays, children are facing the competition which is more severe than their parents. As a result, they have to spend their entire childhood in study, ranging from computer skills to literature. But in our country, most of the parents ignore the art education consciously, because, in parent’s opinion, learning how to appreciate the art or music is just a waste of time. However, I think art education is one of the indispensable part of the children’s basic education. First of all, art education can provide the children a opportunity to find what they are really interested in and what they are good at. If Mozart hadn't had a chance to touch the piano, we would have never listened to so much good music. The most common mistake our parents make is that they always want their children to achieve their own dream. But children are independent individuals; they have their own dreams and talent. In addition, with so many assignments and pressure, children don’t have enough time to appreciate the beauty of life. In a lot of cases, children even don't know what the real world look like because of their struggle in their tedious study life. If children had a opportunity to learn art, music or drama, they would get a look at various lives in the world. Besides, all the arts have vivid expressions, so the children would experience different feelings of people deeply, for example, the depression of a genius whose works didn't get admitted by the world, the excitement of two people who were falling in love. What's more, arts can always help people release and relive from the pressure and stress from work. As we all know, most successful people seek the peace and relief from the art. Because all the arts exhibit the beauty of nature and life, we can always get hope from a pleasant song or a meaningful painting. Though art education, we can expect the children to gain the courage to overcome the frustrations in their life. It is not blameful for parents to expect their children to be a successful people. But they should understand art education is not a waste of time. All the time and energy spent on it will finally pay back. |
