among Chinese applicants pool, GMAT730 is not very competitive(sorry for my narrow mind)。but I guess LZ's w/e, maturity, concentration have worked.

I don't think that 730 is a low score. Actually, to B-schools, it's a enough one, even a high one. This year, there are three of us got admitted by Columbia with GMAT 730. Last year, someone with GMAT 700 got offers from Columbia and Wharton. 

Don't waste your time retaking the test if your gmat is higher than 700. You should prepare more for your whole package.
