请教，在诸如名词+介短+定从的结构中，如何避免修饰的歧义？

比如：the book in the box that I borrowed

这里的that I borrowed应该理解为修饰the book还是the box呢？

如果要让that I borrowed去修饰the book应该怎么写？如果要去修饰the box有应该怎么写呢？
