Now, AdComs are basically assessing you across 4 areas: academics, your fit in the class, your potential impact as an alumnus and, most importantly, your motivations for an MBA. In terms of your grades/scores, given your competitive demographic, I would advise that yes, you retake the GMAT and try to score at least a 730, as scores around this number tend to mean you are at least "competitive" for those schools. Your GPA and experience is great! So don't worry there. I would encourage you to apply, but I would really try to improve your GMAT if you can. You have strong goals which are clear, and you'll want to discuss how your work experience has prepared you for MBB/consulting. Hope this helps!

Yes it’s possible I would focus though on sharing what you have gained in your audit work, how it applies to consulting, what LBS or INSEAD can give you to help your consulting role, and WHY you want to do consulting. This is critical!
