This event will give you first-hand perspectives from current Ivey MBA students on their experience in the program, their various and diverse backgrounds, what they hope to achieve post-MBA, and any advice they have for people considering the MBA. An open format panel discussion and Q & A, this event will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you have.

Students profile:
Gina Kalboneh: MBA 2015 Candidate Gina Kalboneh is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA from the Ivey Business School in Canada, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM). Gina has over 3 years of work experience as an auditor at KPMG LLP in Toronto, working with several public and private companies in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries. During her time at KPMG, she also served as the co-chair of her group’s social committee, mentored staff through the professional accounting examination process, and led campus recruiting efforts for UTM students. She joined Ivey in the hopes of advancing her business knowledge and management skills to further her professional career, and in the summer of 2015, will return to KPMG as a Senior Consultant working in the Financial Management Advisory group.
Jing Wang: MBA 2015 Candidate Jing has worked as a Talent Sourcing Specialist with senior recruiters in headhunting firms and global corporations in Canada, USA, Australia and Europe to find high potential candidates of all levels. She is fluent in several languages including Spanish, Romanian, Mandarin and French and has a deep understanding of multicultural business environments. After her Ivey MBA program, she is pursuing entrepreneurship by starting her own company in Vancouver in global talent sourcing services.
In her spare time, Jing likes to volunteer with multicultural and new immigrant societies in Canada as well as support health initiatives. Examples are working with MOSAIC BC in Vancouver to reintegrate new immigrants into the Canadian workforce and teach them English as a Second Language; mentoring native youths with the Urban Native Youth Association; and participating in the annual AIDS Walk for Life and the Run for the Cure.
Laurie Hung: MBA 2015 Candidate
Laurie graduated from Rotman Commerce at the University of Toronto in 2006. Post-graduation, she worked for a number of companies including IKEA and Canadian Tire in Marketing, Sales and Purchasing capacities. Laurie has her real estate license and a kitchen design company which she manages part-time. She recently completed her MBA at Richard Ivey School of Business in Canada and will be working at Procter and Gamble at the end of June 2015.
Serena Sun: MBA 2015 Candidate
Serena has a unique education background. Graduating from a technical secondary school, she gained both a bachelor and master degree from Beijing Post and Telecommunication University by part-time study. Prior to coming to Ivey, she was a senior engineer in the Telecommunication industry for approximately 13 years. Through her past work experience at China Unicom, she has developed a profound understanding about the Chinese business model. Her overseas experience also empowered her to learn to combine a more humble and patient Eastern approach and a more aggressive and assertive Western approach to deal with management issues. At Ivey, she was the Vice President internal of the Analytics Club.
