Younger  school  children  (ages  five  to  ten)  should  be  required  to  study  art  and  music  in
addition to math language, science and history.

Art and music is the treasure of human. Theyare so beautiful that no one can refuse to enjoy them. It is such a wonderfulthing to make the art and music to become a part of our soul. But as far as I amconcerned, enjoy the art and music should be a behavior of spontaneous ratherthan being forced to learn it especially to children.

To begin with, turning the art and musicinto some kind of mission will tarnish the beauty of it.  Appreciating the art and music is some kind ofhuman natural. If some people want to go further in the road of the art andmusic, they will choose to go to the have the course to learn it. And that didnot mean everyone would like to learn it. For example, listening to the Bach’smusic with a cap of tea is such a wonderful thing to most people. But if youhave to write report about the reason that what makes the music so wonderfulafter the music ends. Will you still the process of music? Especially tochildren, they might not old enough to understand it.

Then, the children are too young tounderstand the complex music theory. Imaging is that any possible for a senior highschool student understand the theory of atom? The answer is absolutely no! Theart and music theory to the children is just like the atom to the senior highschool student. The course can do nothing but make the student confused. It willalso make a lot of pressure to the children.

Finally, children have a lot of course tolearn, such as math language, science and history.  The class and homework have already took a lotof time for them to do the things they like. Children should have more time tospend with their friends or play in the park which is a very important processto laying the foundation of how to get along with other people. The addition ofthe art and music will deprive the time they play.

Anyway the addition of the art and music coursehas more negative effect on the children than the positive one. So the it is totallyan unwise idea to let the children learn it.
