At one time, the majestic Amercian chestnut was so prevalent that it was said a squirrel could jump from tree to tree without once touching the ground between New York State and Georgia. (A) so prevalent that it was said a squirrel could (B) so prevalent that a squirrel was said that it could (C) so prevalent for a squirrel to be said to be able to (D) prevalent enough that it was said a squirrel could (E) prevalent enough for a squirrel to be said to be able to 答案选A的,但是他宾语从句把that省了,觉得不好。

我怎么觉得A不对,it is said that是“据说”的意思,it是形式主语,that引导真正的主语从句,that不可以省啊。。。

就是that(+内容)is said。 It is important that... → that...is important 还不大一样 我认为的就是it is said就是一种固定搭配 that做它的同位语
At one time, the majestic Amercian chestnut was so prevalent that it was said a squirrel could jump from tree to tree without once touching the ground between New York State and Georgia. New York State and Georgia
