The crime of television

It is always true that scientific developments render us a variety of comfort and convenience, to great extent, which shift individuals’ daily lives. However, as a coin has two sides, changes are not frequently match living paces of ordinary people, sometimes, doing more harm than expected. For instance, one of the most significant inventions, television is playing such a role which is blame for gradually ruining our relation with friends or family members.

From my perspective, to judge something useful or useless is depend on several aspects, such as efficiency and cost and the like. Above all, it is essential and crucial to make sure whether its advantages are more critical than the drawbacks.

AS for TV sets, initially, it is absolutely certain that this sophisticated machine promises animated and vivid videos and audios in reality contemporarily, which is beyond our forebears’ wildest dreams, and domestic entertainment no longer constrained barely into radios or cards.

However, something happened unconsciously before we could perceive. As TV programs varies from politics to sports, earth to outer space, people are indulged in them as the so-called drug abusers, leaving and ignoring all around them including their parents and friends. For instance, it is fairly frequent that requirements of walking or playing in the open air are declined with the excuse of watching TV programs, and if such thing occurs many times, naturally, people’s attitude towards each other become indifferent and relationship between oneself and others extinct readily.  

Therefore, there still exists debate on TV’s feats and crimes, the former assert televisions are able to render us what we may need most in the IT age with a great deal of information, while the latter claim that TV has committed several sins, such as tearing down ordinary relationship with others, provide too much useless knowledge or too many disgusting and tedious telefilms which are regarded as trashes. In addition, TV is replacing by computers, step by step, owing to the latter’s robust and effective capability to convey information.

In all, because of its notorious drawbacks and inherent disadvantages, and less valuable role it now plays, time and tide will surely put an end to it someday in future.
