that is true NYC provide more jobs than midwest states like Wisconsin, however, there are NYU and Columbia in NYC who produce thousands of MBAs each year(if count part-time), I guess CUNY won't compete with those two giants, so for the job placement, even you get a job after graduation, it might be in small company with lower pay(no need to mention how expensive living in NYC)

The issue with placement of international studens has little to do with origin an a lot to do with the ability of the students to write and speak well in english. If english skills are good, then placement is not a big issue.

This year, we have four international students (2 from China, 1 from India, 1 from Pakistan). One person is working at Riverbridge Partners, one is at Hearland Advisors, one is at the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation, and the other is working at Cascade Asset Management. All are doing well and working on investment projects.

let the statistic tells the truth, you can check it out in Baruch's website. Majority is recruited by large companies.

http://zicklin.baruch.cuny.edu/services/pros_students/employment.html

Baruch is not a top school, of course its national reputation could not compare with NYU or Clumbia. However, local wide speaking, it is a hot school, graduats receive priority during job hunting.

NYC is a big apple though it really sucks as far as I perceived, and the competition comes from the elites worldwide, not necessarily limit to students from those big two. Yet Baruch provides with a stadge without big differences from NYU or Columbia if you want establish your carrer in NY. All things count is on your personal abilities. Indeed it is an old topic, location and reputation...
