1.(21)When Nigeria achieved full independence in 1960, they had already established a federal political structure consisting of three regions based on the three major population clusters that were in its borders.
D
(A) they had already established a federal political structure consisting of three regions based on the three major population clusters that were in
(B) they already had established a federal political structure consisting of three regions that was based on the three major population clusters inside
(C) they already had established a federal political structure that consisted of three regions based on the three major population clusters in
(D) it had already established a federal political structure that consisted of three regions based on the three major population clusters(集群) within
(E) it already had established a federal political structure consisting of three regions being based on the three major population clusters it had within

2.(22)The company announced that its profits declined much less in the second quarter than analysts had expected it to and its business will improve in the second half of the year.
B
(A) had expected it to and its business will improve
找准平行
(B) had expected and that its business would improve
(C) expected it would and that it will improve its business
(D) expected them to and its business would improve
(E) expected and that it will have improved its business

3.(23)While they remove carbon dioxide from the air, conserve(保存) soil and water, and house(容纳) thousands of species, forests also supply potentially valuable pharmaceuticals(医药), and, as sources of building material and firewood, that provide employment for millions worldwide.
E
(A) pharmaceuticals, and, as sources of building material and firewood, that provide
And后面没谓语
(B) pharmaceuticals, and sources of building material and firewood, are providers(没有provide好) of
结构也错了  and sources不对,且are前面没有连接词
(C) pharmaceuticals and, as sources of building material and firewood that are providing
(D) pharmaceuticals and sources of building material and firewood, for providing(没意义)
(E) pharmaceuticals and, as sources of building material and firewood, provide

4.(24)Employment costs(复数) rose 2.8 percent in the 12 months that ended in September, slightly less than they did in the year that ended in the previous quarter.
D A
(A) less than they did(除了助动词和be动词之外的verb都能用do)
(B) less than it did
(C) less than they were
(D) lower than (costs不能比另一个costs lower,只有当这个可数名词复数真的表达物理意义上低的意思的时候才能用lower  表示数字意义上的低 rate可以用lower)
(lower是形容词 只能用来形容名词
同样反之 a__+noun 这个空里也不能填less)
(E) lower than they were
some uncountable nouns are plural.
"taxes" is a plural noun, but the concept that it represents is uncountable (taxes are not things that you can separate into one, two, three,...)
so, you would say my taxes are less than they were last year,
not [i]my taxes are fewer than they were last year[i].
5.(25)Often incorrectly referred to as a tidal wave, a tsunami, a seismic sea wave that can reach up to 150 miles per hour in speed and 200 feet high, is caused by underwater earthquakes or volcanic eruptions.

(D) speeds of up to 150 miles per hour and heights of up to 200 feet, is
(E) speeds of up to 150 miles per hour and as high as 200 feet, are

6.(26)The investigations of many psychologists and anthropologists support the generalization of there being little that is a significant difference in the underlying mental processes manifested(显示) by people from different cultures.
E D
(A) of there being little that is a significant difference
(B) of there being little that is significantly different
(C) of little that is significantly different
(D) that there is little that is significantly different
(E) that there is little(充当名词作用) of significant differences
如果用little的话后面就要跟一个名词单数,明显不对
if 'x' is singular, and 'a small fraction of x' makes sense.
this issue is altogether unrelated to the idea of 'countable'/'uncountable', because it has nothing to do with counting.
e.g.,
I have read very little of this book.
(we are talking about a fraction of a single book; the notion of 'counting books' is not in play.)
I would not do well on the MCAT, because I have very little of the required knowledge.

7.(27)When drafting the Declaration of Sentiments that was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention in 1848, included in it by the author, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, was a call for female enfranchisement.
E
(A) When drafting the Declaration of Sentiments that was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention in 1848, included in it by the author, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, was a call for female enfranchisement.
感觉缺主语
(B) Including a call for female enfranchisement, a draft of the Declaration of Sentiments was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention in 1848 that Elizabeth Cady Stanton wrote.
That修饰不到draft
另外Including a call for female enfranchisement放在前面有作为draft was adopted的原因的意思,或者有describe another的意思然而并不是 (并且_ing的修饰强调一个同时性)
(C) When the Declaration of Sentiments drafted(起草) by Elizabeth Cady Stanton was adopted at the Seneca Falls Women's Convention in 1848, a call(呼吁) for female enfranchisement had been included in it.
WhenX, Y使用的时候一定是有同样的timeframe的
Y has to be IN THE SAME TIMEFRAME as X.
(D) A call for female enfranchisement, included in Elizabeth Cady Stanton's draft of the
Declaration of Sentiments in 1848, that was adopted by the Seneca Falls Women's Rights Convention.
