Dr.Christine Chan at the School of Business of the University of Hong Kong (HKU)is now recruiting two PhD students. Wecordially invite all undergraduate and postgraduate students who are interestedin academic research to apply to the HKU4-year PhD program.

Dr.Christine Chan (official website https://www.fbe.hku.hk/academic-areas/detail/christine-m-k-chan ) is theAssociate Professor and Assistant Dean at the School of Business, HKU. Herresearch interests include foreign market entry decision, entry mode choice,international joint venture, and performance of foreign affiliates ofmultinational corporations. She has published articles in the top-tier journalssuch as Strategic Management Journal and Journal of International BusinessStudies.

Requirements:

l  Obtain Bachelor’s Degree before August2017

l  Excellent undergraduate/postgraduateacademic performance

l  Solid foundation in economics, finance orbusiness administration

l  Logical thinking as well as good statisticskills

l  High English proficiency (TOEF/IELTS,GRE/GMAT)

l  Strong interest in pursuing an academic career

HKUoffers a full scholarship of around 16,000HKD/month (increasing year by year) for each fulltime PhD student. Outstandingcandidates can be nominated for HKPF scholarships which is 20,000HKD/month. HKUalso offers PhD students with 14 daysannual leave (excluding Saturday afternoons, Sundays and public holidays).Meanwhile, HKU strongly encourages and subsidizes students to attendinternational conferences (no less than twice) and to engage in worldwideacademic exchanges.

我们对候选者有如下要求：

l  在2017年8月前取得本科或以上学历

l  本科或研究生阶段优异的学习成绩

l  具备一定经济学、金融学或管理学背景知识

l  有较强的逻辑思维能力与良好的数理统计基础

l  有较强的英语读写交流能力（TOEF/IELTS, GRE/GMAT）

l  对学术研究有强烈的兴趣，并有志于日后从事研究工作

对于成功入读香港大学的博士生，香港大学将提供全额奖学金约16,000 港币/月(逐年递增)。其中综合素质突出者，可以申请香港政府奖学金20,000 港币/月。大学同时提供14天/年休假， 若干次参加国际学术会议（不少于2次），与世界范围内大学机构交流访问机会。
