请问C哪里错了呢？我记得mahattan里说过where表示具体地点状语的啊~

where once这个用法我倒是第一次见到！楼主可否告诉我这题的出处？

C还有一个明显错误是in support of the imposition：support of + sb，指来自sb的支持。这里应该用support + for imposition。

另外，该题的句意更适合by supporting：
例：I do X by doing Y。  doing Y 能说明我是如何做到X。该题中supporting imposition tax说明了union如何acquiesce to prejudice。

那个while once不对，应该改成where once。where once=once=曾经。

by supporting 优于剩下的support形式 ...

多谢~那么请问where once 在这里是引导的让步状语从句吗？我在gmatclub上看到有人说while必须表示两者同时进行，是这样的吗？

1、我同意，应该是类似although的语义。

2、while在gmat中的主要用法是表示对比，因此允许while at the same time这个用法。
很少表示同时进行的动作。
