Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? The best way to truly relax and reduce stress is to spend time alone.


          When I was a little child, once I had met some difficulties, I always asked my mom for help: What should I do, Mom? When I grown up older to a teenager, talk to my best friends about my problems and stress makes me feel better. However, as I am in my third year of undergraduate now, I finally find that the best way to relax and release stress is spending time alone.
          Spending time alone can make ourselves think over a problem deeply. Sometimes we get into a trouble and feel nervous or stress out, do not know what to do, that's when we should find a quiet place to spend some time with ourselves. Cause who is the person knows you best in the world? Of course the answer is yourself. Only yourself know best what the problem is and where the stress comes from. Therefore, when you feel stress, just take a deep breath, get yourself a quiet place and think over the problem thoroughly. Take myself as an example, one year ago, I was considering whether I should find a job after graduating or continue my education. This question hovered in my mind all day long and even made me insomnia. I tried to ask others for help but it didn’t work out. Then I stayed in bed for a whole day and asked myself what am I really want. Finally I found the answer is that further education is the voice deeply from my heart. As a consequence, I found the solution and release the stress.
         Besides, learning to spend time alone can make ourselves stay in peace. In our daily life, we all have to deal with kinds of relationships, such as friends or colleagues. Dealing with these things when we have other troubles often makes us more nervous. That’s why we need to get away from the social relationships for a while and calm down alone. At this point, spending time alone can really let us stay in peace and relax. A single trip or do some exercise alone, even a sleep can let yourself forget the worries and feel refresh. As for me, a long run and a hot water shower truly relax me and make me clam down, after these I would be more energetic and solve the problem better.
         Certainly, as social beings, we all need others help, we can’t live a good life without friends and family. Sharing good time with friends or discuss the problem with family can help us feel that there are people care about us and we may relax down. However, maybe the people don’t know exactly where our stress comes from. And the most important is that only ourselves can really beat the negative emotion and cheer up. In most cases, the biggest enemy are ourselves.
         In conclusion, as an adult, we must learn how to get along with ourselves. Others may have some help but the key is ourselves. Learning to know our inner thoughts, then spending time alone to face and deal with it, only by this way can we truly relax and let the stress go away.
