Regarding the issue of four-day week, the reading passage objects to the listening passage. The reading passage indicates that this policy will benefit the economy and individual companies as well as the employees. However, the listening passage points out that it has no benefits and would affect some things.

In the first place, the reading passage claims that the four-day work week will go up company profits. Nevertheless, the listening passage holds the opposite opinion that the company will not gain the profits. The thing is that the company will spend more time and money in training new workers and giveing （giving）them medical benefits. In addition the company will buy more computers .So the company can not(cannot) gain the profits.

Secondly, the reading passage points out that it can decrease the unemployment rate. Nonetheless, the listening passage indicates that the four-day week will not reduce the rate. Because the company thinks that hiring a new worker is costly, so the company will let workers work overtime to make difference. The four-day worker will have full work the same to the five-day workers.

Last but not least, the reading passage deems that the individual employee will benefit from it. But the listening passage claims that employee will not get benefits. Since the workers will lose the ability to do work and disturb their career. They will be the first group to lose the job when the company faces the recession. As an employer they prefer to hire five-day workers.
