Hi there! Jon Frank here, happy to help. Let me say that you have a solid background based on your test scores and internship experience. However, your GPA and GMAT are less than competitive, which means it will be a real challenge to apply to tier one schools. If you can write impressive essays with clear motivations and goals, you certainly can strive for schools like Rochester or Vanderbilt. However, I think you’ll have a much better chanceof getting into schools like Case, Syracuse, orFlorida.
In terms of location, I don’t think safety will be an issue at all. You will be totally safe as long as you live on campus or in the surrounding neighborhoods. Just don’t live too far away from campus, even though the cost of rent might be significantly cheaper.
For other schools that you’re interested in, Purdue and GWU prefer students with work experience; JHU is fairly young so it is hard to evaluate just yet; and Brandies is a good school at the same level as Case. Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any further questions!
