Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Movies and televisions should always show audience good people are being rewarded and bad people are being punished.

With the rapid development of science and technology, more and more people begin to aware the importance of the quality of the television program. Some people may think that it is better for TV to show that the people doing good are rewarded and doing bad is punished. However, in my opinion, this thought is ridiculous, for it is bad for children's growth and the whole society.

Always showing this kind of story may mislead children. TV is one of the most important things in the world in today's information society for children to learn the whole world. According to a survey conducted by a group of scientists from SCUT, the time children spend on watching TV after school is about 3 or 4 hours a day in average, which is a really large number compared with their free time. Thus, if the TV always shows such a perfect but unreal world to the children, they might mislead them, making them to believe that the real world is also a perfect one. After they growing up and finding the reality, they would be disappointed, and consequently, they may hate the world, never willing to face it directly. Hence, the idea is not good for children's growth.

In addition, the whole society would also be affected if people really decided to do this. Always watching the program that the bad is punished and the good is rewarded, people may think that as the bad people will always be punished finally, so they should not worry about it and did not pay attention to the bad people such as the murders and thieves in the real world, which could cause a great damage.  The homes being robbed is not uncommon news in newspaper today and not all the people can get their things back. Thus, this program themselves is really ridiclous and have bad affect to the society.

In a nutshell, with so many disadvantages, it is not advisable for the movies and televisions to always show such a kind of programs.

The passage gives out three reasons to explain why the yellow cader in northwestern North America continues dying in the past century. However, unfortunately, all of the thoughts cannot hold water and scientists still cannot find the true reason according to the professor.

To begin with, the professor does not think that insect parasites are the main reason of the declining of the trees as the passage said. He pointed out that as the healthy yellow cedar could produce a kind of chemical which is poisonous to the insects, they are not likely to be killed by insect parasites.

Secondly, the idea that trees were killed by brown bears in the passage is incorrect, neither. The professor argues that the brown bears just affect some of the trees, not all of them.  What more, in the island where there is no bear, the number of the yellow cedar declined, too. Hence, the bear is not the fundamental cause of the declining.

Lastly, the passage claims that the cold weather is also one of the reasons. Nevertheless, the professor opposite it, saying that in fact, more trees died in the relatively warm place, which means that cold weather is not the point.

The passage puts forward a claim that ethanol fuel should not replace the gasoline and gives out three reasons. However, the professor doubts about all of the reasons, saying that they are not convincing and puts his reasons and evidence as follow.

To begin with, the professor does not think that the use of ethanol could cause global warming as the passage said. He argues that although this fuel produces carbon dioxide when burning, ethanol cannot cause global warming, for the fuel is made from plants, which absorbed lots of carbon dioxide before that.

In addition, the opinion in the passage that the use of ethanol reduces the food of animals is incorrect, neither. According to the professor in the lecture, the ethanol is made from a kind of plants that animals do not eat. Hence, the production of this fuel will not put animals in danger.

Lastly, the professor disagrees with the idea in the passage about the ethanol's high price. It is true that the actual price of ethanol is much higher than the gasoline, but the professor points out that the price of it would fall if a lot of people began to use it, for that increased the production of ethanol, which reduced the price during production.

关于开头那里政策取消的问题，刚刚去再次看一下原文，发现没有记错。。。
虽然说听力部分没有说政策被取消，但是原文passage部分有提到过这一点：Because of the large scale of the damage, many people called for replacing the “let it burn” policy with a policy of extinguishing forest fires as soon as they appeared.（鉴于这次造成的巨大损失，很多人主张取消“随它燃烧”的策略，转而开始全力扑灭森林大火的策略。

The passage says that planting genetictrees has many benefits and lists some of the benefits. However, the professordoubts about them and gives her reasons and evidence as follow.

To begin with, the passage claims that asthe genetic trees can resistant many pest, so it could solve the ringspotproblem. But the professor does not agree with that, pointing out that theability of resistance cannot ensure the tree's survival in a new place. What'sworse, because the trees are uniform, they might all die as a results ofenvironmental change.

In addition, the professor disagrees withthe idea put forward by the passage that this tree  benefits the farmers on economy, neither. Sheargues that as the tree have no seeds, people must buy it from the companyagain and again every year. That might cost much, which means that the treefarmer may not earn anything.

Lastly, the opinion held by the passagethat the genetically tree can protect other endanger local trees is alsoincorrect. On the contrary, according to the professor, the planting of thattree might cause great damage to the native trees, for the tree would competitiveagainst the native trees and left little resource such as water to them.
