E 的解释是 The verb phrases "to have begun" and "has been expanding" both reference the same subject of the clause, "universe", and therefore need to be parallel.

只是简单的说2者都在指universe，所以要parallel

E 应该是错在" the universe to have begun "的 to 有问题吧....

D中最大的问题应该是语义吧。。。
the beginning of the universe to have been an explosive instant ten to twenty billion years ago that is expanding中to have been an explosive instant做修饰语修饰the universe, 那么thoery holds的是什么？是the beginning 吗？语义显然不对啊~~
一般类似于thorey 的都是要用从句表达内容的~~

又不是碰上and就要平行的，宇宙大爆炸肯定是发生在过去现在还在继续膨胀
另外
and还有一层意思是 then --“然后”的意思，比如：
Go along the street and you will find the cinema

平行不能绝对化，还应该和句子的意思相符合，这句话明显说宇宙开始于一到两百亿年前的大爆炸，并且现在还在膨胀，所以在时态上，A是最正确的。

LZ平行不代表完全一样，并且文章给出明确的时间约束ago和ever since。。。。。。

structurally parallel is not equal to verb tenses parallel （ it is a general misconception）
