First of all, congrats on a great profile! I do like your schools selected. But...why Oxford? Do you want to be in school in Europe? It will be quite difficult to get into the job market in the US with that kind of degree.    erhaps you can consider one or two additional programs in the US? Given your US experience (and great GPA) it wouldnt be impossible for you to consider Berkeley, etc. Just an idea for you to think about. Jobs in the US are easier to get with a US alumni network... You like my background? Tks a lot. Yeah, after my discussion with my math professor, he worked in Nationwide for 23 yrs, he said OXFORD is not as good as Duke. Since Duke's finance MS program has not open yet, i would wait to see the details about Duke when it's available. Which part do you think i need to strengthen in the next few months? -- by 会员 tmxkcdn (2012/7/30 21:27:18)
Haha, yes I would tend to agree with your professor! : ) Now if you ARE set on a US program (and I think you should be) the trickiest part will be your international experience. That is, you need AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE! Not just in what you do for work, but also in extra-curriculars. You see my friend, Chinese applicants especially tend to seem awfully foreign to US admissions committees. So...what sports can you do? What US culture can you plug into? The more western you can seem, the better the adcom will assume you will blend in, once you get to the US. And that is one of their main concerns about ALL Chinese apps.
Hope this is helpful--GOOD LUCK MY FRIEND!
