从不知道哪本jj中写了这道题“Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? colleges or universities should offer studnets a better job preparation before they can start working”感觉思路完全没打开 T T 而且首段写的过长。。。望大家能够狠批,并且求指导思路!! Afterfour years’ industrious study in the ivory tower of universities free from thefierce competition and complex interpersonal relationships in real world, students sometimes feel sort of incompatible with the real society when theystart to look for jobs, in other words, students will find out sadly that muchof the theoretical knowledge they’ve had a good command of is, in most cases,of no big use while other practical skills, such as good communicationabilities, are of decisive significance. So some people have suggested thatuniversities should be under the responsibility to provide students with jobpreparation before they search for jobs, so that students would be moreconfident with various requirements. Reasonable may it seem, I still believe itis beneficial even necessary for students to discover the mystery of job marketby themselves.
Firstly, only by exploring on their own could students truly understand what matters themost in a job searching. We all agree that students learn by doing, that is,only by applying what they have learnt into real life could students really getto understand it. So it is with acquiring job experiences. If someone is taughtin class that being honest is essential for cultivating harmoniousrelationships with co-workers, which may help lead to promotion, high chancesare that he or she may simply forget about it in real jobs , just like howoften we forget about the facts written on textbooks. However, if the sameperson observes on his or her own that most of the leaders share the quality ofhonesty while dishonest employees often get fired quickly, the person woulddefinitely bear in mind the importance of honesty and work it out. Furthermore, from a technical viewpoint, it seems infeasible for schools to provide studentsfrom various majors with effective job preparation. Different as the majors canbe, the requirements of jobs also vary much from each other. Whilea software engineer has to be diligent and careful enough not to make smallmistakes when coding, designers are expected to display creativity,non-conformity and sometimes making mistakes are tolerant even expected becausemistakes themselves may generate pleasantly surprising results. So how shouldschools design the class for job preparation? Warn students to be cautious ortell students to make good use of mistakes? In such circumstance, therequirements diverse so much that if universities really need to offer suchclasses, it would cost them a good deal of money and efforts, which could bespent on other more meaningful areas. Inconclusion, there is no denying the truth that preparing students with adequatepractical skills will help a lot when they go out to seek jobs, however, thisprocess should be made spontaneous, generated by students themselves instead ofbecoming the burden of schools. |
