Also, our MSF program has higher admission standards than many of our other programs, and the committee has advised that your chances for admission would be better for our regular MBA program. If you were admitted to the MBA program and wanted to later attempt to switch or add the MSF degree, you could begin taking introductory MBA courses (a few of which are also requirements for the MSF program) and could later re-apply to the MSF program. You would want to do well in these introductory courses and earn good grades in them. However, there is no guarantee that you would be admitted to the MSF program later when you reapply. If you were denied admittance by the Finance Department to the MSF degree, you still could continue to pursue the MBA degree.
