金融PHD最后出来做科研的占多大比例？最后就业主要在哪些方面呢？有奖学金么？哪些前导课程比较有利？

国内研究生在读，打算申请明年的金融PHD，收集到的financial phd信息各式各样，很困惑。
    1.PHD目的是研究，金融博做科研的是否多呢？任课老师曾提到金融博进投行的比较少，大部分都是物理博和数学博在做，那么，金融博毕业的去向都是什么呢？很困惑。
    2.大家实力都好强，听说金融博这两年奖学金特别难申请，学费昂贵，在校5年都要自费。录取的话都是AD，而不是offer，是这样子么？……
    3.申请时，如果修过哪些课程比较有利呢？高微、高宏、高计是否必须，或者有好处么？测度论、随机过程、微分方程等等，哪些课程比较有利呢？
    4.申请方向是行为金融学方向，请问有没有推荐的学校呢？

今天去问老师，学校还是常春藤的那几所，剩下的，就是看能不能把G\T考好，然后有这块方向的项目做了。
老师（不是我的导师，是任课老师）在行为金融学上面有业界的关系或者什么的，这段时间国内做散户的行为分析什么的，也是跟这块有关。想在G（11.19）结束后，看能不能写下论文，老师挺鼓励学生做科研的。

My definition of good placements is that graduates are aggressively recruited by reputable universities, hedge funds, investment banks, consulting firms, or other enterprises with high starting salaries and good career paths.
I'm afraid we are prabably not on the same page.
And I really doubt whether statistics phds can have such good placements; these are just heard from one of my teachers who is a statistics phd.

What's ur definition of good placement?  I just want to make sure we are on the same page...

And I am quite curious about those good placement from statistics phds, I would appreciate if you could share some examples...

Try to recall something called "No-Arbitrage", it should not be difficult given you want to do some finance.


If it doesn't work, try to think about "No free lunch".

You mean applying for statistics phD with a concentration in finance is just as difficult as applying for finance phD in business schools, making the "finance-related phD application market" free of arbitrage opportunities?

我也想研究behavioral finance，不过我现在在统计phD与金融phD中徘徊不定，因为统计下面有金融的研究方向。
