这一题选的是A,我选的是C,OG给的解释说是C不是一个correct idiom
但是关于A选项,老PREP2-37里面有一道类似的题目,如下:

Although schistosomiasis is not often fatal, it is so debilitating that it has become an economic drain on many developing countries. 后半句的两个it都是指schistosomiasis 句子的结构是so...that +clause
而appear的用法中 1. sth appear to be..sth是有实指的 比如 She appears to be younger than her roommate. 她看起来比她的室友年轻 本题中的 it has appeared/had appeared to be immune to/from 中的it是有实指的 是指ozone. 2. it appears/appeared that+clause 这里的it是形式主语 就跟it seems that...同理 it并不指代什么 比如 It appears that she is younger than her roommate. 仍然是“她看起来比她的室友年轻”的意思。
