Duke的essay和recommendation letter问题

Essay的字数官网上没有提到字数限制，只说了10号字以上2-page以内，跟大家确认下是否以此为准不在字数上作限制？另麻烦请推荐下页边距设置和字体设置，谢谢！

关于推荐信，一共四个问题，但是官网上的描述是“The following questions are asked on the online recommendation form, and are posted here to help applicants select and prepare their recommenders" 这句话意思是recommender可以从这四个问题当中选择性的回答么？我之前一直以为是都要回答的。。。。。另外，推荐信每个问题的字数大家推荐多少字左右合适呢？

Yes my friend, try to keep Duke’s essays to two pages. If we had to pick a word count, we might think that 1,000 is plenty. But 1.5 pages is also just fine, 750 words or so. And no, the recommender must answer ALL questions on the form, not just the ones that they like. And if there is no word limit for the LORs, I would recommend the same limit, 750 words or so TOTAL for a LOR. 1,000 max. Hope this helps and good luck!
