召唤Tuck校友们, -请问Tuck有什么样比较好、比较有特色的在High Tech方面的资源可以利用?因为上次参加过Tuck的Info Session, 但没发现有从事这方面工作的校友... Try Tuck Connections, they can hook you up with those who focus on High Tech. I've personally seen many Hi-tech related recruiting events, just not my thing. Center for Digital Strategy should also be a good starting point.-在Amazon, Google, Microsoft这类公司就业的中国校友多吗? Not a lot of Chinese, but we have one going to Microsoft this year for full time, and couple other international students going to Amazon or Google.-我是制造业背景 众所周知 制造业的附加值低 现在中国制造业也面临产业转型 高科技的产业是大势所趋 所以个人希望长远能进请问进这方面公司做strategy 但现在因为没有high tech的经验 请问现在我应该做些什么准备啊? if you know little about Hi-tech, MBA will not be enough for a career switch. either you have consulting background or some exposure to that specific industry, or at least some experience in the same function, otherwise, opportunities will be very limited. in terms of what to do, again i'm not an hi-tech expert, but generally speaking, find yourself a position in that industry to build some experience, even if it part-time, non-paid internship type of works. bottom line is, if you really want to switch your career, you have to demonstrate some commitment through certain sacrifices. but maybe there are less sacrificing ways to achieve that, so try to talk to more people. circling back to your first question, use Tuck Connection to initiate a more focused discussion would be my first advice. Thanks a lot!!!!!! -- by 会员 Netherlander (2012/11/16 20:43:03)
