大家好！很高兴加人chase dream。

我考虑申请美国的MBA，请大家帮忙评估一下，我的“考试成绩+工作经历+推荐人”，有多少可能申请到排名前十的学校？多谢多谢！

请教LS: DUKE和DARDEN哪个招大陆学生更多些啊？

多少都是相对的，每年也不一样。只是M7之外的top 15学校里面，这两年感觉Duke和Darden招人更多些。当然，也只是我的主观感觉，没有统计数据佐证。

LBSMIF 莫误导楼主，JF的意见还是比较中肯的。

每个人申请top 10，背景占的比重为3成至6、7成不等。从楼主的情况来看，GT没有优势，年龄偏大，工作经验不拖后腿，但也谈不上impressive，因为类似的或者更强一些的背景在申top 10的中国人当中非常普遍。所以精雕细琢essay才是王道。包装做好了，Wharton，chicago这些招人多的学校对lz来说并非不可能，但是客观地说，lz把目标放在top 10中招中国学生较多、竞争相对不激烈且对年龄无歧视的学校比如Duke, Darden上面可能会更靠谱一些。

另外，推荐人位置有多高不重要，他们有多了解你，对你有多高评价才重要。

Thanks Tianya111, that is what exactly I mean. I didn't expand on my answer. Nevertheless, LZ's background is quite competitive. I think he has a fairly good chance to knock into top10. However, LZ should not be over-confident. The competition is very severe out there. Good luck though.

Hi, LBSMIF, probably I would rather choose the word" ok" or "not bad" than"quite competitive".
I want to say straightlywhat I am thinking of. However, I do not discourage LZ to apply the best schools, since you never know if you can unless you try, and try hard.

Hello my friend—Jon Frank here at your service.  You have a shot at a top ten program…but it is going to be tough.  Your test scores are juuust a bit lower than we’d like to see.  I like your work experience, but you will want to expand your search beyond the top ten my friend.  Look at the top 20-25 or so…and you will have GREAT success this year.  We always recommend to our clients that you apply to a good range of schools—some stretch programs, some in your range, and some safe.  No top-ten school, given your background, will be safe.  So be conservative, and good luck to you!  Best regards!
