香港理工会计PHD被录，有人了解吗？真的很不知所措。。。

几分钟前被港理工录取了，会计PHD。
不知有人了解港理工的会计PHD吗？ 不知道项目质量如何，在港reputation如何呢？
本来都决定去美国的fordham university msa program 了，主要是心水FORDHAM 的location，manhattan, 这下又要纠结了。。。。

money方面，理工的PHD就是全奖了，去FORDHAM的话，50万！我知道50万是一笔不小数目，但是，我想还是从前途的角度考虑！
时间方面，理工4年，FORDHAM1-2年，我没什么偏好，毕竟一个学位是博士，一个是硕士。
真心希望知情者给点信息呀！！

想进公司的话，读PhD在很大程度上是浪费自己的生命。生活太精彩了，把握生活和事业的平衡，是维系生命主旋律的重要方法。怎样把握？是妥协于现实的世俗，还是坚持于自己梦想的守望？

进公司也好，进高校也好，都是你实现梦想的途径。重要的不是途径本身，而是你的梦想本身是否真的是你心中最想追求的。只有先回答这个问题，才能对自己未来的生活有清晰的规划。

博士不是比硕士高一等的学位，这是很多国人一直hold in mind的metaphor，这两个学位只不过预示了两种不同的职业发展途径而已，没有绝对的高低之分。

你不是为你导师活着的，不是为你父母活着的，也不只是为你自己活着的。等有了自己的小家，家庭的利益和前进方向与自己梦想的匹配，才是追求的基点。

每个人鼓起的行囊，都装有小小的愿望。世界太小，梦想太大。先问问自己的内心最想追求的是什么，抛开社会地位，抛开收入，抛开一切的一切，问问自己最真切的那个小小的愿望是什么。

借地弱弱问一句，我的背景似乎申请MBA比较强些（MNC公司，牛校），但是申请PHD背景弱些（一篇中国办的国际管理学年会会议论文录取），
未来职业目标是做faculty。想MBA和PHD都申请，合适吗？谢谢~

我说的很懂是明白里面的证明，自己也会去证明。理解是很容易的，书上把故事都讲好了，自己慢慢看，消化了就行了，阿猫阿狗都可以的 。

just joking, i think micro gives a training about how to think of the rationale behind the research.  many arguments in acc archival papers just do not make an awuful lot of sense

只要你知道微观在讲什么，会用上面的理论讲故事就行了，根本不需要很懂 。

micro-economics and econometrics are really the fundamental to accouting archival research.  I didn't realise this when I first entered into the programme. But as the more research i do, the more i realised more important these two are. If you are poor on these two, you just cannot publish !!

Chinese students are just very good at pure math. But u gotta know acc phd is not math phd. You really need to know how to apply "math" to the real research.

楼主既然已经定了，那真的没啥好说的了，楼主加油吧！毕竟这是个不错的机会~可我还是觉得，如果不是真的很喜欢做科研，那真的没必要读PHD，干别的也能过得不错。而且别觉得在香港读完博回大陆就一定很好找工作，现在即使是美国博士（一般学校的），如果没论文，回来也真不一定很好找，除非你愿意去二流学校……
