问：more than前后比较的是什么呢？B选项里，more than后面省略了that
但是D选项，OG的解释说没有technically wrong,只是没有B简洁。
那D选项里more than后面有that哎

都说了more than是副词,是修饰double的,并不是做比较级使用.
D里面的that正是因为指代不明确,所以是错的啊.

可是OG解释不是说D没有错误只是没有B好么？那D中的that of 也是对的了么？

我是这样理解的，按照OG的解释说D项无错误，那也就是说that of 结构中的that 应该是指代personal spending, 因为如果指代expectations的话，that应该改成复数those才对，这样就是有语法错误了，不符合OG的解释，所以that 应该是指代personal spending。那把personal spending带回选项D中，intensifying expectation of personal spending in the July-September quarter more than doubling 【personal spending】of the 1.4 percent growth rate 【in personal spending 】for the previous quarter. 很明显重复。 那也就是说，OG的意思是想说明，这是一个累赘的叙述方式，that of是unnecessary的。我是单纯从D选项分析的，因为和B比，从其它方面也是B来的清楚些。

同学，这个问题我已经想通了，这里的more than不是在比较，而是一个类似程度的副词，真正的关键在于doule，意思是在讲说8月份的花费使得某个比例加一倍还要多，另外D中的that指代什么，我又不淡定了，呼唤大牛啊……
