Wonderful—if you do get into UT Austin, it is a no-brainer for sure!  J  Keep us in the loop, and let me know what more we can do to help!

Thank u Jon, actually I don't wanna confine myself in oil business, and it's why I choose MBA.  I don't know weahter Carlson's fame is enough to help students find job in other states, but I supoose I'll pick up UMN one and wait for news from UT Austin.
Thank you for your advice.

Hey there!  Well I am a believer in Education in general—so SOME MBA program is better than none.  Once you exit the top 20 or so of MBA programs, you will be relying less on reputation, and more on local contacts.   So if you wanna work in the oil business down in Texas, I would go to a program in Texas.  Id also consider Rice, UT Austin (as we talked about) as well, but yes, with oil especially (here in the US) you will wanna be in Texas.  That’s what I’d do—Id go to the program in Texas.  MN isn’t exactly a hotbed of oil activity here in the US…

Hey there!  Remember, it is Texas A&M, not M&A The school is just fine—while it is not in the top 25 of US programs, if you are interested in staying in Texas especially, it is just fine.  All programs in Texas are also good for energy programs—OIL is huge down there.  A decent program, although University of Texas at Austin is much, much better known.  And Rice is better known as well—but Texas A&M is decent.  Hope this helps, and good luck!

Hey, Jon, this is my first time raising question to u after finding many helpful info u posted here.
How do you value the relation between the location, ranking and job hunting opportunity?
I'm currently working in biggest oil company in China, and I have two offers untill now- UMN Carlson and U of Texas  at dallas. UMN provide no finicial aid while UTD give me a lot.
Here's the dilemma, one is NO.21 programe but maybe not a perfect city for my career and I really don't like cold weather. The other locates in good place for me but programe itself is not that good(No. 40).
I really love Texas, but I also wanna study in a good school. I'm also considering the probability of leaving Minneapolis  and finding job in Texas or other place in States.

Again, if u were me, what's your answer? Could u please give me some suggestion?

找工作都在周围的城市,其实也不是很偏僻啦。

奥斯汀,达拉斯,休斯顿都不远。
