何去何从，也来求offer选择

努力了一年，申请了好多个top的学校，但最终只拿到了duke MBA和LBS的MIF offer。 我的背景很普通，big4 audit+transaction advisory 共4年，CFA，career goal 是I-Bank，我知道这两个offer都很一般，要毕业后进入IB而言都不是很给力。
问题是目前该怎么办？
选项1：Duke：优点是毕竟有两年，可以有个internship，有利于转行。缺点是Finance不是他家强项，地理位置也较为不利。
选项2：Lbs mif：LBS金融够强，地理位置也好，缺点是10个月的program，没有internship，对于找工作很不利。
选项3：都不去了，明年重新申过，自己觉得今年在essay上有明显的问题，我还是有一些可以differenciate myself的经历的，但是今年申请太匆忙，essay完全没写好。也许明年冲一下CBS,Chicago，NYU等还是有机会的。 但另一方面来讲，自己也28岁了，年纪不小了，明年如果又是差不多的结果呢？有点患得患失。

LZ如果你想抱着去IB的目的，去DUKE你一定会后悔的，seriously

你去找个duke的在读学生问一下就好了

但是LBS的MIF好像就业也不咋地啊，去IB的中国人据说也很少？谁清楚情况的出来说说啊

不过Piscalab说的对，读书就是投资，尤其是career oriented programs like MBA,MSC,MIF..肯定是要承担一定的不确定性的，尤其像我所面临的这两个option，不确定性都还蛮大的，说到底还是我自己要想清楚愿不愿意承担这种不确定性吧呵呵。希望我们有机会成为同学哈，还要多多向你学习～～

To LBSMIF, thanks for sharing your information, and i totally agree with you. In my mind,LBS is a great school, may be a bit better than duke(just my point of view, no offense to dukers). mif is a great programme, and I like it, too. But now i just worry that this program may not fit me because i want to be kind of a career switcher. I wish you succeed in your application this year and if there's anything I can do for you, pls send me message. I'm glad to help.

英国取消post graduate work permit对一年制MIF毕业生的打击确实很大，以前的话毕业了还可以在london继续找工一段时间，减少就业的风险。2012年4月之后的毕业生，毕业后就得滚蛋，这样就业只能难上加难哦。
不过楼主的四大背景和IB应该还是很接近的吧？不完全算career switcher

哦，那确实比较难啊，因为MIF是6月底毕业，10月底很多london IB的招聘才刚开始。。。

LBS MIF could absolutely land you an interview (or job, if you could pitch yourself well in the interview) in banking.

Duke is no way in par with LBS in finance, even it's only LBS MIF.

The cons, are that you have to compete with LBS MIMs for entry positions if you are a career switcher....

Or you can apply for LBS MBA this year.

申请的时候没想清楚唉。。。
就觉得MIF跟自己的goal挺符合的，至于就业的情况是后来才了解到的。

不过在论坛里搜到这个关于MIF就业的帖子：

似乎看上去没有目前了解到的这么悲观啊，不知道是真是假。

这是年景最好的时候毕业的一批，那个时候LBS和LSE出来进GS等顶级IB的人我认识几个，都是TOP2本，只是那样的年景多少年才遇到一次就难说了。08年09年我认识好几个TOP IB WE去美国/欧洲的TOP MBA出来找不到工作，WE和学校都是很强的，所以无论读书还是找工作这事儿，有点像投资，换而言之像赌博，哈哈，真的是要看市场的，07年中欧毕业的好几个人都能进投行呢。MIF近几年似乎倾向国企和公务员背景，这些人能保证毕业后至少有个return offer，但是我看了MIF的毕业后3个月就业统计数据，10年毕业这批确实不够给力。11年这批的话应该会好些，不过中国人80%左右都是要回原单位的，所以数据说明不了什么。DUKE的话我觉得如果今年毕业回亚洲进TOP IB应该不难。这所学校我一直是非常偏爱 如果你需要职业转换，我觉得2年的项目，找个实习可能更好。
