Hi everyone:

I'm a 2011 Jan Intake student and pretty willing to answer your questions and share experience about the well-known business school.

Full-time MBA

The 16 month MBA equips participants with the technical, interpersonal and leadership skills needed to excel in their chosen path.  The program is taught in English but participants also have the option of choosing the bilingual option (French/English). Participants who do not speak French will study the language, and those already billingual will study a third language; an increasingly prized asset within today’s multicultural business environment. Participants personalize their MBA during the second half of the program—the customized thread — following a track in Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship or Strategy, and select from amongst 80 electives. In-depth training in decision making and interaction with business leaders prepares participants to become leaders on a global scale. The international exposure, new challenges and academic and cultural variety presented by these programs are an attractive feature of HEC MBA. Participants have the chance to take part in 1 of 53 exchange programs(5 of M7 plus all other Ivy members, except with Harvard and Stanford)  worldwide or 1 of 12 double degrees(especially with MIT and NYU Stern).

In terms of global rankings, HEC MBA's been consistently listed as TOP 20 in the world by Financial Times and been striving for transforming more students into consulting and banking sectors that would increase the weight of remuneration upon graduation in following rankings. All professors taking classes in MBA generally have graduated from those top-notch universities worldwide, especially from Top 10 in US.

Career Management Center 's dedicated for promoting HEC MBA students to multinational corporate partners(over 100 foundation members) and regularly organizes job fair,named as Carrefour, twice per year  (Jan/Sept)which also accommodates the demand for Grand Ecole students, not to mention some other continental/regional/national tracks organized by professional clubs.

Only top 20% candidates each intake deserve HEC Excellence Scholarship & Corporate Scholarship. It varies case by case(25%-50% tuition fee) all depending on your merit and application packages. Hope it helps!

你好！我有7年工作经验，两年小firm三年500强企业内部咨询，想通过MBA去国外增加些国际阅历，也希望能进入top consulting firm，我会一点点法语，很基础，对话不行的，也没有十分明确的在法国工作的意愿。Technically, consulting career is customer based which means local language is quite essential. U know what I mean...

想问下我是否适合HEC的MBA。我感觉HEC在consulting 方面还是比较弱的，也咨询了几个法国人，也说HEC的咨询方面明显不如西班牙的几个学校，从HEC出来去consulting的也大多是GE出来的。想请教您的意见！
It's hard to make the simple comparison. All come back to my response above. How well you speak the specific language matters in hunting for consulting job, unless you're aiming for offers in London. But for sure all European MBAs from ex-EU look at those offices there. U see the fierce competition....In my year, 3 Mcks in Russia, Germany and France respectively, 3+BCG in Russia, 2+Bain in Italia. FYI.

如果有最近的HEC的career placement report就更好了，他家官网什么都没有，而且我了解似乎HEC去年毕业生在consulting function的比例只有19%，那Industry的数字估计要更低了。
Just consult CMC about Placement Report. I think it's pretty more optimistic than the figure as shown.

另外HEC没有non co-signee loan，学费都怎么解决？中国银行贷款？Sorry. Right now you go nowhere to ask for such non co-signor loan across the globe. Please correct if i'm wrong.

Only 8 in MBB, i see the result not so encouraging. Though MBB not my only target, their placement does say something.
I got the offer actually, and I think I may give it up.

That's true coz it's not as good as INSEAD in terms of MC, especially for Top tier MC. There're many guys successfully landed offers in 2nd tier MC like Monitor, Booz, RB, ATK, PWC, Deloitte etc. FYI.
