有申请 LSUISDS (MIS) 同学注意阿
小弟申请今年LSU的Information Systems and Decision Sciences (ISDS)

小弟之前完全完成LSU的程序
想说问一下他们PhDAdvisor 看东西有没有全部到齐以及何时会知道结果
哪知道他回我说
We usually go through the applicationsin February, but this year may be different because of the financialdifficulties LSU faces. Right now it doesn't look good for funding so itis unlikely that we'll be able to admit you. But the formal evaluationprocess will take place over the next month or so.
我又问了是只有我的case还是全部申请者都是如此

以下是他跟我的回复
It is for all applicants, not just inyour case. We actually have a number of really good applicants who we'dnormally want to admit, but our problem is one of funding. The whole universityis affected, so it is not just ISDS, or the Business School. It is toughbeing a public university these days where we have to rely on state funding tosurvive.
真的对于这个学校观感差劲倒极点
如果真的因为funding不够
为什么网页上面不写说不招收新的学生
还大辣辣的开放申请
根本就是要骗申请费阿
有要申请LSU的同学要三思阿
哀这么快就一间悲剧了

事实上LSU今年差点把MIS系整个都砍了。年初的时候，不少已经tenured的教授都在市场上找工作。

It should be self-funded admission, right?
Contacted their director couple weeks ago ~
He told me that if I can pay by myself, they will give me the admission.
But I can't afford to take that~
