Well this is a tough question. The easy answer is that “no,” you shouldn’t write it if there is no aspect of your candidacy that you haven’t covered. But in the event that there IS something you haven’t hit—this is the place to cover it. It doesn’t have to be a gap—even just a quick couple sentences here to cover an area of your background would be okay—just use these sentences carefully. We don’t want to go overboard here. 200-300 words, max. And if you have covered most or all of your background, leave it alone…
