关于第六题的两个选项，C和E，为什么这两个选项中them都是在within 后面的，但是为什么og解释说为什么c中的them就可能指代tourists，但是e就是正确指代chambers呢

楼上2位的问题我试着解释下吧：

(D) because of moisture 【that was exhaled by tourists raising the humidity within them to levels so high as to make the salt from the stone crystallize

becasue of 后面其实就一个N：mositure。后面一大块全是一个从句。 这里的从句是和M一层的。所以这里的them指代T

(E) because moisture exhaled by tourists had raised the humidity within them to such levels that salt from the stone was crystallizing

这里用了BECAUSE做从句，这个从句是和主句一层的。那么them自然指代了CH

不知道我这么说对2位有帮助么。。恩。。

我个人觉得，C里面的时态也不太对，were exhaling..., which had raised ...
这个原因是否可以作为一个参考？

因为C里面tourists 是主语，而E里面tourists 是在介宾短语（只是个修饰成分）里面。
主语是句子主干之一，优先被指代。
umm...关于代词指代的题目多做、多读就会有感觉了。
