急，要申请了，求定位！！多谢指导！

想申请finance PHD.
美国综合top20, business school top25，Master GPA 3.8,
国内top10本硕 理科average 70+/85+这个也不高，
四片烂paper（一个英文一座，剩下都是二做）, 一个专利，
GMAT 650,这个很担心.
在美国有5 semesters teaching experience.
在美国选的课有 随机过程，宏微观经济学，几门统计，四门金融课，成绩不错.
TOEFL 应该不需要。

应该申请啥样的学校呢？比较倾向加州和boston. 申请80-120的finance program有戏么？不想考GMAT了。
请拍砖！！

另外，GMAT是不是很悲剧？

lz可以看看我去年发的求定位的帖子，我最后从了UC Irvine，也是我唯一offer。UCI今年召了两个，另一个韩国女生，差一点就被wharton录取了。但是她一路都是学finance的，所以数理背景相当弱。现在感觉finance phd申请不确定性太tm大了，一定要多多多的申

What you might want to do is go talk to the admission people at your current school, which according to you is relatively top ranked (top 25). Given that you are already there, see if you can establish some type of understanding (perhaps having your school as a back up etc.)  Of course, different schools have different policies on "taking care of one's own," and some schools have different internal policies for their undergrads looking for backup and MAs looking for backup. But it's worth a try. If you manage to talk to the admission director, he/she might give you an idea on where you should target. Do you have an adviser for your MA degree? Talking to him/her might help too. Finance is a very small world, everyone knows everyone, maybe your adviser is enough to get you into a higher ranking school. Good luck!
