此题跟og12-021很像！
１）按照og１２－０２１的话说：now..., does not fit the oening clause， which is in present-perfect tense.
２）按照ｏｇ１２－０２１中，aeoluseros大牛斑斑的话（http://forum.chasedream.com/GMAT_SC/thread-525665-1-1.html），搬过来，此题可以这么理解：ｎｏｗ　ｗｉｔｈ．．．是gyrfalcon的伴随动作，但是ｎｏｗ与主句的ｈａｓ　ｄｏｎｅ时态不同，因此无法伴随动作发生。至于为什么是伴随动作，而不是伴随结果，根据逻辑意思判断吧！（但是在考试时，１分钟的时间里，判断出来这个，是有点忐忑）

３）如果上面的解释，大家苟同，那么下面２句，ｏｇ１０的解释就可以理解了
The gyrfalcon. Choices D and E wrongly use a phrase introduced by now with to modify The　gyrfalcon.
In both choices, the phrase confusingly seems to parallel with extinction;
a new clause with a present tense verb is needed to state what the gyrfalcon's numbers are now.

但是好像A的than后面也直接是when呀。。。我觉得E如果numbers前面加its会更好些

(D) extinction, now with fivefold the numbers they had they...而且时态怪

(E) extinction, now with numbers five times greater than than后面直接是when不对，只剩下A，凑合选了。。。
