(D) extinction, now with fivefold the numbers they had they...而且时态怪

(E) extinction, now with numbers five times greater than than后面直接是when不对，只剩下A，凑合选了。。。

但是好像A的than后面也直接是when呀。。。我觉得E如果numbers前面加its会更好些
