答案选A的，但是他宾语从句把that省了，觉得不好。解析说B、C用了被动，不如主动好，但我觉得A也用了被动呀。D和E用enough错了。

这个根本不是正解

it was said当成插入语就好了。你把it was said去掉，句子意思根本不影响。

不管是形式主语也好，宾语从句也好，主语从句也好，题目根本就没有给你一个完美的选项，为啥一定要强迫自己理解这个 that应不应该出现的问题呢？

有that固然更好。没有that能说的过去也行啊。GMAT的答案不是完美的选项，而是5个里面最好的

it is said that.. 那个that不是引导的是个主语从句么..?
是不是就可以省啊...

宾语从句要是先行词不做从句中的主语的话是可以省的

。。。我觉得那个套嵌式分句不能解释这个啊。。。

“有一种关系分句（即定语从句），它既是先行项的后置修饰语（即定语），同时又是另外一个分句结构的宾语（即宾语从句）”此分句结构就被嵌入在定语从句中，即嵌入式关系分句。

我们的例子中的“关系分句”既不可能是it was said因为that不是先行词，so...that后面要加完整的句子的；也不可能是was said因为这样如果修饰it的话为什么was不省略？

这里it到底指代什么啊！？！？！？！？！！？无语了。。。it is said that不是最好的答案吗。。。 这里为毛为毛少一个that！！！！！

曾经，这种高大的American chestnut（一种树）在 New York State and Georgia 非常多，据说，松树能从一个树上上跳到另一个树上而一次都不用碰到地面
就是来形容树非常多，密度大，松树都能直接从一棵树上蹦另一颗树上去，掉不下来。
