Admission from CMU - MSCF

昨天早上收到的decision，之前在CD也获益不少，应该share背景，造福后人，嘻嘻。

10.25申请，1.12面试通知，1.20面试，1.26出的结果。没有奖学金。以下我的背景（建议对MFE感兴趣的同学上Global Derivatives，这是直接粘过来的，大家凑合看看。）

- undergrad from UIBE, BA Econ (Honors) concentration - Finance, GPA 87

- learned C in high school, learned C++ (a little bit) in university by myself (no course taken and I have to take a course in C/C++ before enrollment)

- GRE: Q800 V590 AWA3.5

- TOEFL: 107

- no working experience, 3 internships (two in commercial banks (one is in East Africa, lol), one in IBD)

- 2 mathematical modeling contest prizes

- 2 business competition experience (BNP Paribas and OVAL)

- no paper, 2 recommendations from internship managers and 1 from math professor

感觉CMU非常重视学生综合水平，且重视项目的多样性。大家加油。

补充关于面试，确认了多年的经验：1. how come to know this program? 2. why CMU? 3. other programs applied and why? 4. what gonna do with this degree (career goal) 5. questions for interviewer (Rick Bryant - director and prof. in finance, thus non-technical Q)

他家的MSCF不是在商学院下面的吗？不是在数学院或者是工程学院底下的吧，那么GMAT成绩可以吗？
