Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Only people who earn a lot of money are successful. Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer?

It is a common phenomenon that the poor want to earn a large mount of money and rich want more. Some materialists even think earning more money is the only aim in their life. However, can you say only people whose money is available in near-limitless quantities are successful. Of course, no.
First, success can not be measured only in terms of currency. Success is consisted of many parallel things, such as a wonderful family, some good friends, and respect received from the society, among which money is only one partial reason. Can you say a man who has a rich father and inherit one billion dollars is more successful than the other person who is born in a small town with poor parents but then set up his own small factory through hard working?
Moreover, there is a subtle link between money and people. People like money, and then hate it. People want to earn more money so that they can buy things which are considered very luxury when they are poor. However, when they really have enough money to afford them, they may find that the things they have been eager to buy have not appealed to themselves. Plus many people who join the rich find it hard to keep their old circles of support. Happiness studies have repeatedly shown that being marginally better off than your neighbors make you feel good, but being a hundred times richer make you feel worse. Imagine if you are out in a three-star restaurant, how do you split the bill when he is a millionaire.
Furthermore, family can fall victim to being rich. As the men get richer, the wives are either tossed out in favor of a new model or become engaged in inane, busy-making activities. Shopping trips to Pairs and Milan get tedious for them. Wives are effectively unemployed, and have all metal issues as the real unemployed. Their sons are just as prone to antisocial behavior as those from inner cities. One of the reasons given is their absent parents who are busy in making money. So not matter how many money their have they will be a loser in their homes.
All in all, money is every important in one’s life. But when money is conflict with friendship, family relationship, or the benefit of the community, it will be nothing.
