I don't think it is too late. If you graduated at 2006, you are still young and can make such big changing decision.

For most Msf or MFE programs, the students are average aged at 25.

Just like the papi above said, since you are in the U.S. already, you have a lot of opportunities and resources. Just contact those Admission staffs, and try to contact as many as you can.

Be confident to try those top schools also.

It is very common for people to go the U.S. under an unpopular major first and then shift into another one.

Although such strategy is not good for our Chinese image in U.S.

不过很多学校要求一定要有工作经验的,如UIUC BC,这样的你就别申了,所以总体来说转金融还是有希望的,但是好学校就不要想了.

The admission criterions do not imply that applicants must have background in finance. Since you are in the US already, I suggest you make an appointment with the graduate coordinator of the finance department of your university and talk with him about the your application plan.  

You have more resources to research the US MSF programs' application than most of the people on this forum. Do not waste these resources and make sure you make the best use of them.

msf除了princeton别的也没你想象那么难,有些基本上申了就有ad

生物出身的好像不多见，不过你可以修一两门你们学校的finance的课程，然后让那prof给你写封推荐信，尽量找现在在academia比较active的教授，另外，你读生物phd，数学应该不会差吧，那应该还是挺有机会的

另外，生物phd毕业出来去industry工资也这么低吗？例如去些大的pharma或者biotech？

我认识一个princeton生物的phd师姐,当年全奖去的,后来毕业了找不到工作,再去读会计.生物==失业.而且生物转专业还是挺难的,不象物理和数学.
