 Eller MBA program soars in global rankings Financial Times says Eller College program is #20 in the nation, #34 in the world TUCSON, Ariz. – January 29, 2007 – Today, the full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Eller College of Management was recognized in the upper echelon of the world’s leading business schools. Financial Times released the results of its 2007 global MBA survey, ranking the Eller MBA as 34th in the world and 20th in the nation. The College was also recognized among the top 10 worldwide in entrepreneurship. “I‘m happy to see our quality program appropriately recognized on a global scale,” said Brent Chrite, Eller MBA director. “The Eller MBA program paves the way to alumni success, an important attribute in this survey, by providing an action-oriented educational experience aimed at meeting the individual goals of our students. We remain committed to providing our students with the tools, insights, strategies, and experiences that allow them to succeed in the market. This survey affirms the satisfaction and success of our alumni.” Among the criteria used to develop the ranking, which evaluates business schools from most of the world’s economically developed and developing countries, are alumni recommendation, career progress (the degree to which alumni have moved up the corporate ladder after graduation), placement success within three months of graduation, and return on students’ investment after three years. The specific strengths of the Eller MBA at The University of Arizona highlighted by Financial Times include: - Best in entrepreneurship (#6 in the world)
- Percent increase in graduates’ salaries from 2004, 2005, 2006 surveys (#3 in the U.S.)
- Career progress (#40 in the world)

The Eller College MIS Department has been ranked in the top 5 for 18 years.
